Vocational training
Providing an alternative and hope is very important for our patients, especially those who lost their job due to an injury, in 2023, the RSH established a vocational training program as part of the mental health and psychosocial support provided to our patients, which allows them to develop new skills and obtain an official certificate that will enable them to work when they return home.

Patients’ Support Team
MSF implemented the Peer-to-Peer Support approach a few years ago. Patients’ Support Team is one type of intervention that can be facilitated by the identification route. The
main objective for the Patients’ Support Team -Volunteering Team - is to build a Peer Regional Networking having capable and trained volunteers in all the region seeking for a sustainable and long-term community base
approach support focused on person centered approach, and the specific goals for RSH project is to Improve the quality and impact on patient care, improve identification and development of future Peer Supporters, Build
a networking and social support among peers,
Empowerment activity
A new social and recreational space was built in the hospital to provide patients with some fresh air while also allowing younger patients to play and create new, positive memories.
Future School
Children spend long periods of time in hospitals, and many have dropped out of school because of their injuries.
MSF provides activities for the RSP children to help with this process, such as educational classes (with a customized curriculum to cater to individualized student needs, nationalities, and previous education level)
Future School (the name the children chose) is in RSH and is run by the mental health department. It provides informal education, which has helped children improve their academic skills.
Quit smoking program
In collaboration with the MOH, a mental health team and health educators created a referral process and treatment plan to reduce the risk of rising smoking rates in the hospital. Based on the needs, and in addition to the many recent discussions about the link between patients’ recovery and Smoking, Health Educators and mental health team developed a referral process to provide safe and effective treatments while also reducing the possibility of increased smoking rates in the hospital
